Reiki
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
While Reiki is not a religion, it is still important to live and act in a way that promotes harmony with others. Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Reiki system of natural healing, recommended that one practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony, which are nearly universal across all cultures.
During a meditation several years after developing Reiki, Dr. Usui decided to add the Reiki Ideals to the practice of Reiki. The Ideals came in part from the five prinicples of the Meiji emperor of Japan whom Dr. Usui admired. The Ideals were developed to add spiritual balance to Usui Reiki. Their purpose is to help people realize that healing the spirit by consciously deciding to improve oneself is a necessary part of the Reiki healing experience. In order for the Reiki healing energies to have lasting results, the client must accept responsibility for her or his healing and take an active part in it. Therefore, the Usui system of Reiki is more than the use of the Reiki energy. It must also include an active commitment to improve oneself in order for it to be a complete system. The ideals are both guidelines for living a gracious life and virtues worthy of practice for their inherent value.

By offering our animals companions all of the benefits of Animal Reiki, we give something back to our pets for all the healing, unconditional love and laughter they give us. Animal Reiki is gentle and can be done hands on or from a distance. Also known as Pet Reiki, it has principles and symbols that automatically set the healing intent as positive, and does not rely on any type of belief system to work. Please contact me for pricing. Average cost is 40.00 per session however varies by animal, temperament, location and of course size (for example; horses would cost more). I prefer to travel to the pet to reduce the stress to the animal, I am also working with State Line Animal Hospital in their new Holistic Room to take some appointments there if that is convenient to you and your pet.
It is important to understand that I will not force an animal to sit still while receiving Reiki Animal Healing Energy, nor will I force Reiki on them in any way; they have their own timing in life and in physical transition. When their life's chosen aim and purpose is completed they have free will not to accept energy that would thwart their purpose. Every Animal is different and unique, and only by working with them, and not on them, will you come to appreciate the freedom of animals, and be gifted with true "unconditional love". In these instances I will fill the environment with Reiki Energy as a support for all of those around the animal and to foster a calm, safe space for the animal, if they then choose to accept the energy it will be there to aid in their highest and best good.

Intuitive Readings
Intuitive readings are different for everyone. Depending on the person conducting the reading, the focus can be on anything from releasing blocked energy and past trauma, tapping into past lives, working through a current hardship, or helping a client to activate their highest potential and life work. As the name implies, the sessions are usually led intuitively, and any professional reader will tell you each of their sessions are unique and highly individual.
Typically, during an intuitive reading there is a lot processing, releasing, and transmuting of energies in the mental, emotional, and physical energy bodies. For some, intuitive readings can feel like a “talk therapy” session. For others (especially those who are highly sensitive to energies) it can feel like having psychic surgery. It all depends on what the client and intuitive reader intend for the session.
Most intuitive readings provide in-depth information about a person’s soul journey and life path. This is done by tapping into different dimensions of consciousness, reading subtle energy, and even accessing the Akashic Records (a term used in theosophy to describe a “library” of mystical knowledge encoded in non-physical realms of existence). For many, intuitive readings help provide clarity on life purpose or karmic cycles.
Intuitive readings are different from psychic readings. Most intuitive readers do not read the future, but rather read a person’s individual energy (a subtle distinction). Everyone is intuitive and everyone has the ability to read energy, but some people possess more pronounced strengths in using their intuitive gifts to access extra-sensory information.
A good intuitive reader will always point a client to their own intuitive powers and help them access their own inner-knowing. A successful intuitive reading should leave the client feeling empowered and more knowledgeable about their own gifts and abilities, rather than feeling a need for the reader to “fix” them.
When receiving an intuitive reading it is important to listen to your own feelings about what you seek to gain from your reading but also to allow for the many expanded insights that can come from different perspectives.
